Coalfields Community Cup

The Coalfields Community Cup is Coalfields Regeneration Trust (Scotland) annual 5`side tournament where teams from Former coalmining communities come together to compete to become the Coalfields Community Cup champions and represent Scotland at the HOME INTERNATIONALS (Early August) in Wales.

All teams that are succesful in reaching the final at the Coalfields Community Cup will be eligible to represent Scotland, if teams are unavailable to attend the next best positioned team will be offered the space.

Previous Winners include: Blantyre SA, Kelty Hearts CC, Central Girls plus many more..

* 2006, 2005 & Girls U15s are a tournament format. 2012s are a festival format only and not eligible for the nationals*

No cost to any team eligible to particapate in the Coalfield Community Cup.

Why is it FREE!!... Coalfields Regeneration Trust (Scotland) are dedicated to supporting and improving the quality of life for the 5.5 million people living in former coalmining communities.

Since the closure of the deep coalmining industry in the UK many areas have struggled to recover and significant issues still remain.

Many of our communities sit within the top 30 per cent most deprived areas in the UK and without the assistance they need they will struggle to be as confident, strong and economically prosperous as they once were.

Our mission is to create opportunities for social and economic growth, deliver a positive lasting impact and ensure former mining communities are not disadvantaged by their past legacy.

CoalfieldS Community Cup will be on Sunday 28th June 2020 with ALL age groups kick off time below: 

2012: 10am - 12pm (Registration between 9:15am-9:30am)

2005, 2006 & Girls U15s: 1pm - 4pm (Registration between 12:15pm-12:30pm)
